How can I reset my password?

Before you try to reset your password, please be sure you have confirmed your email address. Many times when you create a new account and immediately cannot log in, the problem is that you have not yet verified your email address, not that the password is incorrect. If you aren't sure how to verify your email address, you can find out more information here.

Once you are sure your email address is verified, if your password does not work, please click the Forgot Password link on the sign-in box. Enter your email address and click Retrieve Password. You will receive an email from National Geographic that includes a link to reset your password. Your password must contain at least 8 characters, with at least 3 of the following: upper case letter, lower case letter, number and/or a special character. Please note, National Geographic staff cannot see your password for security reasons.
