How do I RESTORE my subscription in the National Geographic app?

If you purchased a single issue, annual or monthly subscription to National Geographic magazine in the previous version of the app directly from Apple, you can restore your purchase in a few ways:
  • Tap SETTINGS from the navigation bar,
    • then tap on RESTORE PURCHASES.
    • You may be asked to enter your Apple ID that you originally used to purchase the subscription or issue. 
    • Follow the steps and your purchase should be restored. 
OR
  • Tap MAGAZINE icon from the main navigation bar,
    • then tap on “Restore Purchase”.
    • You may be asked to enter your Apple ID that you originally used to purchase the subscription or issue. 
    • Follow the steps and your purchase should be restored. 
OR
  • Tap “Magazine” and go to Past Issues, select an issue or an article inside an issue.
    • A subscription notificaiton screen will appear that has several options on it,
    • tap on “Restore Purchase”.
    • You may be asked to enter your Apple ID that you originally used to purchase the subscription or issue. 
    • Follow the steps and your purchase should be restored.
Please note, if you purchased a subscription through Apple and are NOT seeing a "Restore Purchases" option, tap on Magazine at the bottom of the app. Then tap one of the magazines. If you can get into any of the articles, then your Apple purchases have already been restored.
