How do I access the International National Geographic Magazine App?

I purchased through Apple, how do I RESTORE my subscription in the app?


Open the app on your smartphone or tablet.  Tap on any of the magazine issue cover images in the app. You will see an option to either Login with your Apple ID and password you originally used to purchase the subscription or issue or tap 'Restore Previous Purchases'.  Follow the steps and your purchase should be restored.

I purchased through National Geographic, how do I access my subscription and log in to the app?

If you are an active print subscriber and have linked your digital account via the nationalgeographic.com or a digital-only subscriber that purchased directly from nationalgeographic.com, please log into the app using your National Geographic account credentials. 

In order to log in,
1. Open the app on your smartphone or tablet.
2. Tap the Hamburger Menu on the top right of the app and tap "Log In".
3. Enter your National Geographic Digital Account email address/password in the sign-in fields and tap "Login"
4. The app will say "Loading" and you will now be able to access all magazine issues available in the app.

I can't sign in to the app, what do I need to do next?

If you have not yet registered a National Geographic account, go here to create your account. Once you create your account, login here. Click or tap “Link your Subscription,” and follow the instructions to link your subscription. You will need your account number (if your subscription was a gift, please use the account number associated with the gift, not the gift giver).   If you already have a registered account, please reset your password, go here and click/tap “Forgot Password?” Enter your email address and click Retrieve Password. You will receive an email from National Geographic that includes a link to reset your password.
